For over twenty years, the last words of all inmates executed in Texas have been documented: over 400 individual cases. The last word and the period at the end of the sentence from each of these final statements were copied and enlarged on a photocopier. In a second step, all enlarged periods were filmed on Super 8 resulting in an animated film that shows a flickering and slightly vibrating black square.
